He began his career 23 years ago as a scientist working at the NASA Ames Research Center. Within six years, he grew bored with the “black and white” world of science, got his MBA, and entered the world of business. Paul spent the next five years working for a series of high-tech companies in California, New Mexico, and Idaho in Finance Management, Marketing Management, and Strategic Planning positions. Concurrently, he also owned and managed a ski lodge at Lake Tahoe, CA, a printing business in Boise, ID, and a restaurant in Boise, ID from 1999 to 2007.

Paul sold his Galliard Group shares in 2010, returned to his original firm, and continues to help business owners with growing their companies and with implementing their exit and succession plans. Paul also serves as a Managing Director with ACT Capital Advisors http://actcapitaladvisors.com/ - a Merger & Acquisition advisory firm that represents lower middle market companies across a variety of industries. Paul’s mission is to make sure that all his clients own companies that are sell-able.
